Everything Bagel Popcorn

Everyone’s favorite bagel flavor is just as great on popcorn. Movie night just got so much better.

All of Anyday’s recipes are tested (and retested!) in many different microwaves and home kitchens to make sure they work — and work well.


Select your microwave wattage in the dropdown. The cook times in this recipe will automatically change accordingly.

To find your microwave’s wattage, look at the front panel, the side of the door, in the back, in the user manual, or Google the model number. If both an input and output wattage are listed, use the output.

Wattage translates to how powerful the microwave is. The higher the wattage, the faster your food will cook. The lower the wattage, the longer the cook time.

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons everything bagel spice (recipe in suggestions)
  • 3 tablespoons popcorn kernels
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons oil


  1. Melt butter in a small microwave-safe dish. Add in everything bagel seasoning and stir to combine. Set aside. 
  2. Combine popcorn kernels into the Anyday dish with salt and oil and stir to coat. Cover with the lid (knob lifted). 
  3. Cook in the microwave for 4-5 minutes, or until you only hear a pop every few seconds. If needed, add more time in 30-second intervals until finished. 
  4. Add butter mixture to popcorn, cover Anyday dish with lid (knob pushed down), and shake until fully coated.

Serving suggestions & tips

  • To make your own everything bagel spice, mix together: 2 tablespoons poppy seeds and 1 tablespoon each of white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, dried minced garlic, and dried minced onion.
  • Swap in your favorite savory spice blend to infuse into the aromatic butter.
  • Microwave ovens vary, even with the same wattages. Adjust cooking times as needed.
