Momofuku Miso Cacio e Pepe Noodles

White miso and black pepper adds extra umami to this classic noodle dish. Use Momofuku Goods noodles as your base for a quick pasta dinner!

When in doubt, start with less time — you can always add more.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons white miso
  • ¾ cup (200ml) water
  • 1 pack Momofuku Soy & Scallion Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper, divided


  1. Place oil, butter, miso and black pepper in the Anyday and cover with lid (knob lifted). Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the butter is melted and the miso is lightly caramelized.
  2. Add the water, sauce packet, black pepper, and stir to combine. Add the noodles. 
  3. Cook uncovered for 5-6 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. 
  4. Serve immediately with extra parmesan, if desired. 

Serving suggestions & tips

  • Sprinkle some fresh parmesan or pecorino for extra umami.
  • Drizzle some balsamic vinegar at the end for a tangy touch.
  • Squeeze some fresh lemon juice before service to brighten up the flavor.
